New alpine architecture

The fact that we decided to give the Tannerhof a new direction and a new architecture in 2007 was not just a whim. Rather, we were faced with the decision to let the Tannerhof run as a sanatorium for another 5-10 years as it was, without any prospects for the future.
Or to convert it into a hotel - but that would have entailed major structural modifications, structural changes, up-to-date fire protection measures and an extension.
Out of conviction and love for this special place, we opted for the latter.
The design of the Tannerhof is the most normal thing in the world, even if it doesn't feel like a normal hotel, but juggles with the building activities of four generations, combining and overbuilding the old with the new, combining new towers with charming alpine huts from 1905. Potemkin-style backdrops in yodel style were not the intention,...
... but simply real houses.

It was important to us to create an architectural bracket for the various main buildings in different styles from different eras, without them losing their character.
The Alte Tann was to be
Becoming a venerable one-first farm
and the Tannerhof as a whole became clearer, more organized and dusted off. Structures had to be reorganized. We needed more rooms - that's how the hut towers came about.
A mutual friend recommended the Munich architect FLORIAN NAGLER to us. We met, liked each other and felt that our vision was understood.
We like it, our new Tannerhof. And so do more and more enthusiastic guests. And renowned architecture associations and journals have given it equally positive reviews.
